STOP THE GUN VIOLENCE: #ENOUGHISENOUGH

At Peaceful Living Wellness we normally do not stride into the political realm. However, because we are a company headquartered in the United States, and because we value peace as the foundation for living a healthy, happy life, I believe it is my moral obligation as editor-in-chief to speak-out in response to the rampant gun-violence and cultural vitriol plaguing the U.S.

15 WEIRD THINGS YOU CAN COMPOST

At first, I thought composting would be like taking a science exam: way too complicated and confusing. And while I’m not against science, I certainly didn’t want to have to do a pH test every time I wanted to add something to it.

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR KITCHEN FOR HEALTHIER EATING

Every once in a while, I survey my readers to find out what challenges they’re experiencing when it comes to organizing in the home. This question is something I think challenges everyone, so I wanted to share some tried-and-true solutions for organizing the kitchen for healthier eating.

“We learned about how he learns BEST.”

SIMPLE STEPS FOR A SUSTAINABLE EASTER

Hippity Hoppity, Easter is on it’s way! I love spring, when I can open the widows and let the fresh air in, see the trees and plants coming into bloom, and feel that renewing sense of potential and excitement.

We don’t actually celebrate Easter, but we do celebrate the spring equinox, which shares a lot of the same (or similar) symbolism with Easter. Eggs, fresh grass, bunnies, and chicks are all part and parcel of the celebration, but it has become something other than what the original celebration was all about. It’s about fertility, growth, and a renewed sense of optimism (at least, for me it is).

HEALTHY LIVING HACKS FOR BUSY MOMS

Being a mom is freaking hard! I love my daughter SO MUCH, but sometimes I miss my old life.

If I could send a message to the pre-mom version of myself, I would tell myself to enjoy the quiet moments.

Being a mom means we wear many hats! We run our family, our home, work (whether that’s in the home or not) and more. The stress is real and we often put our own health (and sanity) last.
