The elements cannot be explained in a linear span of time; the elemental pattern, like the four-season cycle, is never ending. Our entire life is developed and created as we move from one season to the next. You’ll get a greater sense of how all of the parts interact over time, and you’ll realize that you’re at the heart of it all.

Description automatically generated takes place between December 22nd and January 19th, right around the Winter Solstice.  The winter solstice, when the sun is at its lowest position in the sky, is the darkest day of the year. The bulk of the leaves have already fallen to the ground, and the temperature has plummeted. This teaches us how to be resourceful as a result. Consider the following scenario: winter has arrived; are you prepared?

Cardinal is all about making the most of your time on Earth and ensuring you have all you need to get through the long winters. But, let’s face it, understanding the notion of time is one of the most basic and challenging skills in life. Since we were young, we’ve been taught that time is instrumental in our everyday experiences. From the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep, every detail of our lives is artfully outlined. Life has a rhythm to it, and everything you encounter fits into that rhythm. It’s the heartbeat of the Universe.

We are inspired in our own Spring season from childhood through early adulthood. This is the stage in our lives when we begin to recognize our own uniqueness. Who am I exactly? What kind of person am I going to be? This is the time in our life when we start to figure out what we like and don’t like. After this period, we enter our maturity, our Summer. This is when we begin to separate ourselves from the identity we were given in our family…   You’re a young adult, and you’re probably thinking to yourself, “What am I going to do with the rest of my life?”  When Fall hits, we start to think about our lives and ask ourselves, “What kind of life have I built for myself?” During this beautiful transition, you could have either a spiritual awakening or a midlife crisis. Depending on how you spent your time and what was important to you. Finally, as we approach our Winter, it is time for us to reclaim our rightful position atop the throne of wisdom. You’ve risen to the position of teacher. What knowledge do you have that you’re willing to share?

You become the light that guides the way as you follow your own path, in tune with your inner fire and in harmony with the Universe. It’s all too easy to become swept up in today’s fast-paced environment.  In a culture where having more stuff in your life translates to having greater quality, it’s critical to remember that objects are just that: things. While using them to help you get to the top of your to-do list is a fantastic idea, if you’re too focused on the goal, you risk losing out on how you and others are feeling. We’re all part of a bigger picture, and it’s important that we remember to keep “lifting as we climb,” as Mary Church Terrell put it.

In order to reach our goals, you must devote time to them. Only by putting our newly acquired knowledge and resources to good use will you be able to achieve this. As you reflect on This Trip Around the Sun, what lessons are you carrying forward and which are you leaving behind? Everything has a beginning and an end; I say this not to scare you, but to provide you with a personal public service announcement. Time will pass as fast as the seasons change and the sun rises and sets. So, how well are you prepared?

What if you spend all this time and effort creating your dream and honing your craft only to never use it?
