RESISTANCE BANDS: Strength Training Workouts You Can Do Anywhere

Short on time to hit the gym, but want to get the results of strength training?

Work, family, children, social activities, events, household chores, making dinner, grocery shopping and doctor appointments. The list just goes on and on. Finding time to make it to the gym can be almost impossible for those that have a busy schedule or lifestyle. 

As a fitness trainer, I can relate with trying to find time to dedicate to getting in your workout. I spend my days training clients to help them reach their health and fitness goals.

After training and encouraging others with their fitness programs, my afternoons, evenings, and weekends were jam packed. There would be practices, auditions, music lessons, game day, race day, etc. with my two children. I barely had time to get in 6 hours of sleep let alone hit the gym. 

I started finding times and workouts that would work with this busy lifestyle. Sometimes, my workouts were during my 30 minute lunch break or while my children were at music lessons or practice. I would keep resistance bands in my car, which I often use with clients. So I started using them more and more myself. I was impressed with the results.

Home, park, or even at the gym. Resistance bands for strength training are inexpensive, lightweight, easy to use, take up little space so you can even pack them for your workouts or when you travel for work or vacations.

Resistance bands provide resistance during the positive and negative movements of each exercise, activating more muscles than when using a workout machine.

Bands come in a variety of fitness levels: light, medium, heavy, and even gladiator strength. Benefiting everyone from the beginner to the advanced level of fitness.

Full body strength training workouts can be done 2x a week for 25-30 minutes. There is the option to break up the lower and upper body to twice a week each, resulting in a 4x a week workout for 15-20 minutes.

Michelle is a mother of two and a soon to be grandma. Time is precious and limited, being a single mom really helped her to relate to the issues so many have with finding time for themselves while balancing family and work. Inspiring others to do this without it being expensive or time consuming is her passion.

In living the lifestyle she promotes you can find Michelle walking or doing yoga on the beach, strength training, hiking or biking on trails. She also enjoys traveling, fashion and spending time with family as much as possible while living the Southern California lifestyle.
