Tell us about yourself! Who are you and what is your wellness specialty? 

My name is Chantre’ and my wellness specialty is amazing travel no matter who I am with. I enjoy the peace of mind of a beautiful adventure. There is nothing more freeing  to me than meeting new people, seeing new sights, and enjoying the freedom of exploration and relaxation. I am personally an avid road tripper, and have driven cross-country with my dog since I was 18 about 8 times. 

Why did you decide to pursue this field?

I decided to pursue traveling because I have been in school for my entire life. I never had the chance in college to travel abroad. I have met so many people from different walks of life and I thoroughly enjoy learning new things about other cultures and experiences. I enjoy being able to learn about new destinations when planning trips for others. Being able to also offer my agency as a companion to solo travelers, people that want to travel but need a friendly face to travel with….THAT’S ME!!

What gets you going in the morning?

My dogs…one licks my face 2 minutes after my alarm goes off and forces me to get up LOL. The other thing that gets me going in the morning is my physical health. I prefer to relax in the evening, so my mornings are reserved for a workout of my stationary spin bike during the weekday or a long walk on a trail with my dogs on the weekend. I normally watch a motivational speaker during my workouts to help me clear my mind while also getting motivated for the day.

What does Peaceful Living mean to you?

Peaceful living to me means living the life that I choose for myself. Even if I haven’t accomplished every single goal on my list, I know that I am still working towards accomplishing something each day. The accomplishment may not be grand, but having the mindset of focusing on being happy with where I am and the potential that I see in myself to make a difference is AMAZING! I truly just want to live a life that allows me to be a blessing to my own life, my loved ones, and others that I encounter.

What is the number one thing you wish for people to know about wellness?

I wish that people would know that they alone are in charge of the level of wellness that they want in their lives. When you choose to take control of your own health, whether mentally or physically or both…you are choosing to put your own wellness as a priority. Letting your light shine will only positively impact others around you.

Do you have a guilty pleasure that is maybe not so “wellness-oriented?”

Candy binges and lattes!!! However, I am doing better with candy and have cut it out of my diet for the new year. The lattes from Starbucks were cut out as well for 60 days, but I invested in an espresso machine so that I can perfect my own latte at home plus SAVE MONEY FOR MORE TRAVEL!!
