There are lots of benefits to practicing a deep yoga squat, also known as Malasana. The poses can stretch the inner thighs and groins, undo some of the effects of sitting for hours, improve circulation in the lower body, and stretches your feet and ankles, too. Practiced with the hands at the heart center, it can also open the heart and help you to remember to keep your shoulders soft and relaxed. And since you’re low to the ground, it can make you feel really connected to the earth, grounded, and stable.
